As we reported Thursday, Ron Futrell was arrested by the Nevada Highway Patrol following a crash early Saturday morning.

NHP tells us that he was booked on five misdemeanor counts, including unsafe lane change, hit and run from a property damage crash, and obstructing a police officer.

Ron was taken to the Las Vegas City Jail and released on his own recognizance later that morning.

KTNV-TV Vice President and General Manager, James Prather, says effective Friday August 1, 2008, Ron Futrell is no longer employed by the station.
