More Details Released In Sexual Assault At Centennial Hills

Police say a freelance nurses assistant for Centennial Hills Hospital is accused of harming the patient he was supposed to take care of.

Steven Farmer is being held in jail at the Clark County Detention Center.

He is charged with three counts of open and gross lewdness.

He is also facing three counts of sexual assault.

Those charges stem from an incident last week at Centennial Hills Hospital.

Police say Farmer started inappropriately touching a patient he was transporting while in an elevator.

Reports show that the woman, who was medicated, told him to stop, and that he replied he was doing it to relax her.

Detectives say the assault continued in the patient's room, where she tried to take pictures with her cell phone but they did not come out clearly.

Cell phone records show the woman also tried to call 911 after the incident, but hung up because she was scared and did not know what to say.

Patrol units responded shortly afterwards and then requested detectives.

Investigators say forensic evidence was collected that backed up the victim's story.

Farmer was arrested at his home the day after the incident.
