According to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners the principal doctor of the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada will voluntarily stop practicing medicine pending an investigation.

The State Board of Medical Examiners asked Dr. Desai to do so.

Dr. Desai will stop practicing medicine until the board completes an investigation into the operations at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada.

Last month, officials found the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada on Shadow Lane reused syringes putting over 40,000 patients at risk for several viruses including Hepatitis C.
