Get information on becoming an intern with Channel 13 Action News.  We have positions in the following departments:

News Intern
Action News is looking for interns for Fall of 2009 and Spring of 2010 semesters.  You will help write stories that air on newscasts, make beat calls, attend editorial meetings and pitch story ideas all while learning from a talented group of anchors, reporters and other journalists.  If you can work a flexible schedule of at least 25 hours a week, email Executive Producer Amber Walker at awalker@ktnv.com.  Interns must be receiving college credit and are responsible for turning in weekly reports on your activities.

News Talk show, Community Affairs &  Promotions
Intern will assist producer with news talk show including booking guests, story ideas, writing, web updates and other job functions as needed.  Also, Learn skills in producing, promotions, editing, community outreach and event coordination.  Contact Katie Bencze at kbencze@ktnv.com.  Action News is now accepting applications for Fall of 2009 and Spring of 2010.  You must be receiving college credit for an internship at KTNV.

Web Producing
The ideal candidate will be part news junkie, part copy editor, part graphic artist, part video editor and more.  We are looking for someone who already has some knowledge of web sites.  Contact Jim Koonce at jkoonce@ktnv.com. You must be receiving college credit for an internship at KTNV.

* All candidates must be a student, currently enrolled at a recognized college or trade school, and internship must count towards your degree (for college credit).  Hours are flexible, but you must be able to work at least 12 hours weekly unless otherwise specified.  These positions are unpaid.
