Hundreds of people turned out for a Teamsters union rally where organizers verbally trashed the management at Republic Services, Inc.
Teamsters claim they're working with the recycling workers at Republic Services to organize a union there.
They claim since they launched the organizing campaign, Republic fired 30 workers as an anti-union scare tactic.
"They are just being greedy, there is a special place in hell for people like that," Teamster member, Armelia Hunter says.
Republic defends their actions.
They tell Action News they never even knew about the union organizing and the workers were let go because they were undocumented workers.
"I didn't know the teamsters were in the business of representing undocumented workers," Bob Coyle with Republic Services, Inc says.
Coyle says they audited 1,500 employees and found thirty with questionable documentation.
They offered those employees a total two weeks to get the proper documents or they would be let go. He says one employee did bring the correct documents and was sent back to work.
