Utah residents will have a chance to voice their opinion in a Las Vegas water plan.

The plan would pipe water to Las Vegas from a desert aquifer that mostly lies in Utah.

Critics say the plan would give most of the allocated water to Las Vegas at Utah's expense.

The deal would hold off a ruling on the southern nevada water authority's application for water rights in Snake Valley.

The deal is expected to be signed next month
