Two men are facing federal charges after agents say they bought guns here in Las Vegas to traffic to Mexico.
Agents say the brothers, William Weiss and Jonnatan Weiss bought guns ranging from pistols to rifles to sell across the border.
"In this case we received information that several suspicious purchases of firearms had occurred," ATF agent, Thomas Chittum, says.
They got their information from one of the more than a dozen gun stores the Weiss brothers hit.
"We get ATF in here all the time. We sell large volume of firearms," manger of The Gun Store, Clifford Wilson says.
Wilson says its extremely important for retailers to work with law enforcement.
In fact, he's more than thrilled these two were caught.
"We'd been hearing rumors over the last year," Wilson says.
But the Weiss brothers aren't in trouble for just trafficking. Agents say they lied about where they lived.
They say they used Nevada ID cards, which said they live in North Las Vegas. The two brothers, according to agents, actually live in California.
"Firearms aren't always easily acquired by the criminal element so they traffic them," Chittum says.
The two men were arrested over the weekend. The charges stem from purchases made from the last six months starting last December.
